Anyone attend in their RV this year? Overhead views showed tons of RV's - looked cool.

I don't usually watch NASCAR but this year seemed quite interesting and I enjoyed the race. For those that don't know Cleetus McFarland (real name Garrett Mitchell) he's quite the YouTube sensation and made his debut this year but didn't make it into the race due to a crash the day prior.

One thing that stood out this year, to me, were the paint jobs on these cars. Amazing artwork! Impressive designs. I saw an article online this morning of actually ranking them so it seems they really stood out.

We watched on TV as usual. Went there and camped with friends in an old Winnebago probably 35 years ago when you could camp right up next to pit row. Cleetus now owns part or all of Bradenton Motor Speedway and does a lot of drag racing. We were just there a few weeks ago watching the Pro Stocks.

Someone from the forum was going as a guest of the Legacy Motor Club.

Daytona 500 is the premiere race and the pricing compliments that. Infield RV parking can be $1500+ one week minimum. Rv parks outside the the track are also expensive. I use to go to the 500 until the cost outweighed the fun.

On the other hand, Talladega is great. Plenty of Rv camping with 2 big lots that are free. The north side free camping is where the parties are. I went last year and would not recommend that one. I have been to the south free camping and it was quiet and close enough for an older guy like me to walk to the track. It is a boon docking experience, but they have truck that come around to drain your gray/black tanks if needed.

I'll stick with Indy 500

Roberto Guerrero? I believe he is the record holder for the fastest lap, I went to indy in the glory days 1984 to 90, we had tower terrace seats, right behind pit row, what a great time for racing, rahal,.fittipalti, andretii, Sullivan
