DEF Heads, are Spartan and Frieghtliner the same or are they each proprietary?

Looking into buying a DEF simulator to have just in case of a failure. Just wondering if the systems are interchangeable. Even though we only have 7000 miles on the coach in a year and a half, I am beginning to realize these things break any time they damn well want to.

When building one, the only difference is the 4 pin connector that's attached. A neighbor of mine had a brand new 2023 King Aire with 1,000-2,000 and the DEF Head failed, so I'd say it can happen at any time.

If you question is, are the Spartan and Freightliner DEF heads the same, no they are not. They are designed and manufactured by two different companies.

Greetings. I have a 2023 Dynamax DX3 2022 Freightliner M2 Detroit . I have all the parts for my DSS and when I checked the def head the connector was four pins in a row. I have been all over the internet looking for a suitable connector with no luck. Have you ever ran across this. Thx
