Designing RV Storage Buildings

In an ideal world I would include a pit in the center of each spot for easy access to the undercarriage - for lube jobs, oil changes, etc. - but I fear the logistics of that, along with the liability, would be horrendous!

Even for a personal garage, the structural work required is significant.

My shell for the 30x60 with a 6”slab and heating is $48k

Adding a pit was 40k additional. I didn’t do it.

I live in Lake Havasu land of the Mega RV Garage, and more RV storage facilities then anyone has ever seen for the size of our population my garage is bigger then my house.
My input for minimums would be:
50ft deep
18ft wide
Power for just storage would be 20 Amps per
Dump outside of building
An AC heat system that can maintain 60 in winter and 85 summer
if you offer full hook ups you may have people taking advantage.
Maintenance operations could be a liability, would word do’s and don’t s very carefully
I would consider dividing walls for security and fire protection

Yes. Dollar General showed up! Actually, it wasn't Dollar General, but the outcome was the same. So I am no longer in the RV storage business.

We purchased this unit in 2019...Naples FL
20W x 50D x 24H.
12x16 Overhead Door
A/C
Running Water
Sewage Dump
50 Amp plug

46 Total units in the complex. Most are 25W x 50D x 24H with 14 x 16 overhead doors.

It was terrific for the RV and when we sold the RV it became my workshop.

It turned out to be a terrific investment.
