My wife and I found a 2021 Winnebago Outlook 22C with 6k miles for only $65k. Since it’s a 2021 we’re not able to find anything but new models with MSRP of $95-$98k. With only 6k miles it feels like a steal. These seem to be relatively good honest people who decided to upgrade to something larger, so nothing is setting off alarm bells.

Are we maybe missing something here? Is the drive-off-the-lot devaluation that significant? Any tips would be great!

Welcome to RVF @james_stewart and congratulations on the newRV. I really don't have enough experience with the particular coach you purchased to comment on the deal you made, but the "drive-off-the-lot devaluation" can be pretty significant with RVs.

The bottom line, however, is whether you are happy with the deal--which you apparently are. That's what counts! Enjoy the new RV,

TJ

Hi @james_stewart, that seems like a good deal to me. Like @TJ&LadyDi, I know nothing of that model either, but from what I've seen on RV Trader, that looks to be attractive priced. Looks like the original owner is taking a pretty good hit on the price!

And welcome to the forum!

Jim

The only way to know for sure is to get a buyers appraisal from RV Appraisals and Pricing. He has a FaceBook page and I think also a website. They can give you the current value of your EXACT make and model. They get the auction results nationwide and the sales data from all the RV dealers nationwide. This data is the ONLY way to get a current value. You should go to his FB page and read his posts about Kelly Blue Book and NADA and what a scam they are. Both books work in the dealers favor. These guys used to work at RV Dealerships and know how the business works from the inside out.

Good luck!

Congratulations and welcome.

Sounds like a great deal! I just bought a 2021 Outlook 22C with 13,000 miles for $79,000 out the door. I thought I got a good deal considering there is no stock in San Diego county.

my wife and I have purchased 11 RVs in our lifetime… a few new, most used, some from dealers, many from private owners. The list includes two pop-ups, two class Cs (one was a diesel), one fifth wheel, and six travel trailers (from 14’ to 29’).

one thing we never did is ‘keep researching prices’ after we purchased… so if you have already purchased… go out and enjoy the RV lifestyle!

if you haven’t yet purchased… research away!

congrats on your decision/purchase and enjoy!

Congrats to the new owners enjoy RVing. Make sure to maintain them better to do it yourself and you should have many great experience. I still have my 20 year old Winnebago Minnie bought new still in great shape.
