Today there was a smell of diesel in our 2008 American Coach Tradition with the 425hp Cummins … as we were driving….has anyone experienced this
Seems like an exhaust leak …

Welcome to RVforums. Check turbo exhaust pipe (mine developed a hole over time). Also look at the tail pipe extension to make sure it did not get damaged somehow.

I'm not familiar with your rig, but just in case...don't get suckered into an exhaust when, in fact, it's your AquaHot running the on the Diesel side. I've had so many, including ourselves, who've had a clogged nozzle which causes raw diesel to drip into the pan and stink.

Also, another source of pungent stink is the read diff vent. I know of a coach that blew that vent and caused major stink problems.

Other common causes, believe it or not, are a simple wind change along with having a bathroom vent open to cause just enough negative pressure to suck in some diesel.

Thanks for the info … Aqauahot was off
Going to check different ventilation points
It was definitely exhaust fumes
I was also told to check the gasket seal in back that gives access to the motor
Do some checks as to the connections in the motor area …

Since this thread caused me to post about AquaHots causing a diesel smell from dripping diesel, I forgot to mention we also had an incorrectly seated burner/motor assembly which caused diesel fumes to flood that compartment and find its way up into our bedroom through the floor.
