As I'm heading to Newmar (tomorrow) and as the Elkhart RV SAT folks did the conversion from DirecTV to DISH for me at FPU in 2017 I figured I'd call them and see if there is anything newer worth upgrading while I'm in town for my DISH system. I spoke with Elkhart Satellite Systems yesterday and he did tell me of the new Dish hybrid LNB and system that allows use of the Hopper 3, etc. Install is about $3K, I don't know all of what's included but obviously not money I care to spend. My Dish system works great, the wally boxes are good and suit my needs. Was ultimately just checking to see that I had the best dish, LNB, setup etc. For my needs nothing new. For those that probably use Dish at home as well as the RV there may be some new goodies available to you.

FYI for those getting Dish in the future and choosing the latest tech.

Neal, I converted from DirecTV to DISH in 2020. Being you have a newer coach you may not have the Trav'ler antenna. The following are the components I purchased:

1) Winegard RP-SK11 Trav'ler Satellite TV Antenna Reflector. $27.44
2) Winegard RP-SK21 Trav'ler Satellite TV Antenna Reflector Arm Bracket. $238.71
3) DISH Network Hopper 3 (New). $200.00
4) DISH DPH42 Hybrid Multiswitch. $69.89
5) DISH Network 209783 FG Wireless Joey ACCESS POINT 2. $45.00
6) DISH Wireless Joey. $45.00

Very simple conversion. Works great for me! Both Winegard and DISH were very helpful. I did not know I needed the hybrid switch until contacting DISH and Winegard.

I was in Red Bay, AL earlier this year and the guy who installs the systems for Tiffin told me I did not have to have 110V for the Hybrid Multiswitch. I have not tried it without the 110V. He said he attaches the switch outside to the roof. Mine is inside protected from the elements. It gets hot!

Thanks, yes I have the Trav'ler, all works great. I was just wondering if there were any upgrades in this tech space since my 2017 install.
