Door lock actuator

My door lock is making a motor noise, anyone have any info on troubleshooting this?

I wonder if the plunger in the door is on its way out? You could pull the cover plate off, I think it's three screws and inspect. I assume the noise is coming from the door handle area?

yes, I think you are correct, soon as the rain ends, I'll take it apart, the actuator is at newmar parts for around $130, looks simple

If you mess with the door lock give yourself an alternate way in, i.e. the driver's side window! Don't ask!

does it sound like a big zipper??? thats what ours is doing so i have a spare in case it goes out.. sounds like there is a batch of those noisy actuators out there... you can contact Trimark and get that actuator ALOT cheaper. ($17).. just saying

Thanks @GUS2000, it was a little more than $17, it was a whopping $23, easy to change out

awesome.. when i bought mine about six months ago, it was $17. so guess they went up a little.. still cheaper than a locksmith!~! LOL
