We’re new to RVing with a 2006 Dynamax Isata and have just encountered a lock issue. The FOB and key have always worked fine until today. Yesterday, after an all-day power outage in NE Wyoming, we used the RV microwave to cook. The FOB locked and unlocked both the coach and cab doors without any problems. We started the generator, and everything was fine until we were ready to leave, when we found the coach's side door locked and couldn’t unlock it from the inside. The FOB didn’t help, so we exited through the front cab door and tried unlocking the coach door from outside, but it wouldn’t budge. Neither the key nor the FOB worked. The two cab doors can still be locked and unlocked with the key, but the FOB won’t operate them either. Pressing the FOB buttons lights up the red indicator, but nothing happens with the locks. The lower storage compartments under the coach stay unlocked and won’t lock, even with the keys. We replaced the FOB battery, so that’s likely not the issue. We suspect something might be jammed in the coach side door, preventing it from working, but we aren’t sure how to check without causing damage. The RV is winterized, plugged into power, and the main cab battery has been removed for the season. Any ideas?

This was after the cab battery was removed; it was moved to our garage and kept on a trickle charger. The two house batteries were left untouched in the RV. The RV is plugged into 110-volt external power from the garage to keep the two batteries charged. There is a surge protector used that also monitors the voltage being used. Last winter, we removed both batteries to the garage to be left on a trickle charger. This coming winter, I thought I would leave the two batteries alone and use external power to keep them charged. What I wasn't sure about is whether the inverter should be turned off. Other than the charger for the two batteries, nothing else is turned on. After removing the cab battery from the RV and connecting to land power, we have been in and out of the RV many times while plugged into the garage, unlocking and locking the doors without any problem. Because of the area power outage, we had entered the RV and started up the onboard generator to power the microwave. When finished, the generator was turned off, and when we attempted to exit was when we discovered the side door was now locked, and our keys or fob would not unlock it. The two front cab doors can be locked or unlocked using the key, but the fob would do nothing.
