Driving alert

on our last trip, the Garmin 851 started showing a highlighted bar on the left or right with a vehicle veering left or right. I called Garmin and they gave no idea what the alert is. I get a visual and auditory alert and have no idea what it is for.

That looks like a lane departure warning system alert. Does your RV have cameras facing forward that might be detecting you are near or crossing a lane marking?

check the sensitivity on your lane avoidance settings

The RV has collision control and lane shifting but the lane shifting control does not put out an audible sound when the alert shows up.

Yes that’s lane avoidance. Have you updated it?

You can connect the unit to wifi and make sure software is updated if it’s buggy
