I am going to look at a 2008 fleetwood bounder Saturday and she told me is that the ac works great but you can’t turn on any thing else will it’s running if you turn it off you can work other appliances what could be the problem

Interesting! I’m wondering what amp it’s plugged when this happens. If it’s on a 15 or 20 amp plug I get it. See what happens on a 50 amp service. Sounds like there may not be enough amp feed to the rig. My first thought. If it happens on 50 amp service we dig deeper.
Try it with the generator running, see what happens.

If it's only got the one rooftop a/c it's likely 30 amp and the a/c is likely a 15k btu. On most of those operating the a/c and the microwave or even a blowdryer simultaineously will likely trip a breaker. You can help by installing a softstart capacitor on the a/c and running the water htr. on gas. Even then you'd need to be sure the prongs on the 30A plug are tight and all of the terminals inside the transfer switch are tight, those 30A units produce a lot of resistance at those points when drawing maximum wattage and if anything is even slightly loose. You should be aware too that one 15k a/c is not going to do a great job cooling that RV in the afternoon and evening hours on 90°+ summer days., expect interior temps to hover in the low to mid 80's.

50 amp or 30 amp coach? Either one, you should not have any problems running multiple appliances if the coach is wired correctly. If AC running and a breaker is tripped by electric water heater, microwave or engine block heater, there's a problem. Look for any electrical modifications or add ons like a "hot rod" installed on a gas only water heater.

Well he said Bounder, I assumed 50 amp. True, 30 and you manage amps more than 50.

One 120v 30 amp leg v two 50 amp 120v legs. There’s no problem other than a lack of amperage. At least the seller is letting him know it’s limitations up front.

I had a 30 amp F53 Bounder. When I upgraded from the gas only water heater to gas/electric, we had to turn it off to use the microwave. Otherwise no problem using one of the 2 ACs with the electric water heater and any other low draw 120v items. Could only run both ACs with generator. I suspect the 50 amp diesel Bounder for sale has 120v wiring problems.
