My emergency brake pin got pulled out and cracked in half and has to be replaced, its Sunday so I can't replace it until tomorrow, is this a problem leaving it out?

Are you referring to the breakaway pin on the vehicle being towed behind RV? If so, does the vehicle move without the pin (There are different braking systems … not sure what you have). If you are going to tow the vehicle without the pin, that safety feature will be disabled.

I will be buying a pin tomorrow before I tow, just wanted to make sure not having a pin in would damage anything while it is stationary. I have been reading threads that say that not having a pin in can damage the brakes, thank you for your response!

That would only apply while towing. No worries while stationary. Also a picture of the affected part is always a good idea to avoid confusion.

Like Flyboy, I'm assuming it's the break-away pin that applies the electric brakes if your tow vehicle and trailer gets separated. Yes, it's a problem. That energizes your electric brakes, and will discharge your battery(s) in short order, and quite possibly burn out the coil in your brakes.
Disconnect your battery(s), or if there's a relatively easy way to disconnect the brakes, do that. Get your pin and restore what you do to get the brakes out of the electrical picture.

Hadn’t thought of that. Yes, you’d also want to disconnect the brake system battery if that’s what he’s talking about.

With the Air Force 1 system, you can pull the inline fuse and it will disable the braking caused by the pin being pulled. Good to know in case someone pulls you in while you are out and about with your toad.
