This trip Starting Monday, so far camp grounds are empty. Large KOA in a Jennings Florida off I 75, only 4 rigs. Whole rows empty.
When planning this trip I had campground hosts say to me, the place is empty no need for reservations.
Is this Normal for this time of year??
We just spent a week at Toledo Bend Park last week..Theres about 70 sites, there was us and 5 other RVs..I love it like that. Its quiet..Plenty room for my boat at the slips.

See the Google Earth view attachment. We have booked our trip already. This is the first year we have been able to secure a spot in the Keys and the Everglades.

We expect to cross the border (hoping the new paperwork is complete and accepted) October 01 this year so we will be in the Blue Ridge Parkway area in time to see the colors. Back in Canada for April 01 2026

Sorry Jim. We will be close to Deer Springs but we don't want to stay the minimum 3 days.
Wow, that is an impressively long trip! Good luck!

I think once the snow gets closer up north, people will be heading south and fill those RV spots up pretty quickly.
I stayed in one at Tuscon Arizona last time, place was packed and not strange to see folks from the some State I was from all over the place.

So far, since crossing the border into the US we have not yet seen a single Canadian license plate. We have been in North Dakota, Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky.

It appears many Canadians are steering clear. Has anyone else seen any?

How many US plates did you see in Canada?

Have a friend just about ready to cross.

You can stay put, or go on with your life.
