Engine dies

Coach had been in shop for a while and batteries were very low. Drove 1 1/2 hours home and when backing in coach died totally. I had turned on docking lights. All lights flickered so I restarted coach. Died again, flickered, started up and successfully backed into spot.
My question is...would low battery power shut the engine off? Diesel pusher

I had a car do that (gas engine), but I assume the concept is the same.

Diesel needs only fuel and air to run. Since it starts and runs for a while, most likely you have fuel delivery problem.
Loaded up fuel filter, compromised fuel hose (sucking air) or kinked. Also there is electrical lift pump that brings fuel to To the engine driven high pressure pump. It could be failing?
But someone has to troubleshoot all that.
