Hi
Used the rv last week once at the park the entry steps stopped working dead
No actions opening it closing door
Any advice ?
Best regards

First check the battery compartment ( under the interior steps or in the passenger side rear) there should be a thick red wire coming off the positive terminal with an inline fuse specifically for the steps.
Otherwise try starting the motor, sometimes the jolt will kick the motor into operation.
While someone opens and closes the door, try tapping the motor ( gently). Stay clear of the step path.
It could be the magnet on the door frame.
Lastly the motor may have given up the ghost. It's really just a windshield wiper motor. Not overly expensive and easy to replace.

Magnet on screen, real motor issue, fuse, or binding in gearbox, which will cause other issues. Mobile techs can diagnose quickly usually @Holdmybeer has it correct. You can test the magnet switch.......with a known good magnet, Usually they are magnet switch issues if no response and cheap fix.
