We are leaving in the morning from Kissimmee KOA and I received this message today asking to extend our stay. Camping for years I don’t think I have ever had an offer to stay longer at a reduced rate.

Don't want the fun to end? Extend your stay and save 30% off additional nights. Check with the front desk for availability. A friendly reminder that check out time is 11:00am tomorrow.

I guess they are not 100% booked. It was not full during our stay. I guess as others have said, campgrounds are not full. I’ll take the 30% off my two weeks😂.

Yep, most of the better campground (RV Park) software looks at your site and says "hey, we don't have anything going tomorrow (or the next day) so let's see if he wants to stay another day or two.

Technology😜

Tourism spending in the US, domestic and foreign is by some accounts down as much as 40% this year as compared to last. Coupled with the absolute nationwide collapse in RV sales and the trickle down affect would impact RV Parks and Campgrounds.

Some of the new parks in my area are offering nice discounts, like half price for the second month. Most parks I've seen are at 50% or less occupancy when in prior years they would be close to 90% with winter Texans.
