How safe, or dangerous, is it to run an extension cord in my 2022 FR Wildcat 5th wheel. It not a matter of more power its where. We are full timers and I would like to work at the table. There is not any power close enough for my laptop. There is a plug behind the recliners but it’s two sockets and two chairs.

Recommendations???

There is no problem using an extension cord, just size it according to the load, and when in doubt, unplug it when not in use. Extension cords may not be used in place of permanent wiring in comercial applications and zip cords (light ga wire, usually 14-16, with a multi outlet end) are likewise disallowed in favor of a protected outlet strip. These are also good guidelines to follow in your RV.
