What can anyone tell me about this company. Their website seems like they are the greatest RV organization alive, but so do all the others.
Any real world experience? We have AAA, but hear so many bad experiences with all (Coachnet, Good Sam, AAA, etc) we wonder if we would just be trading one bad service for another…
 
We are members and have been for a number of years.

Have a hot spot through them as part of their Tech Connect program - multiple options available.

We have roadside assistance through the company they are affiliated with (Safe Ride if I remember correctly).

They hold rallies, etc and generally look to promote the RV lifestyle.

No complaints with their services or the roadside assistance (had to use them for tire problems a couple times).
 
I'm a member for one reason only, FMCAssist is an “emergency medical evacuation and repatriation coverage available to members worldwide as long as you are more than 100 miles from home.” If you have a medical event that prevents you from continuing your travels, FMCAssist can step in to help.
 
Tire discounts
 
Have been a FMCA member for a few years. Here are our reasons:
1) FMCAssist
2) TechConnect Plus (original reason, but stopped using this feature as their internet options don’t work in Pepwave)
3) Tire discounts (haven’t used yet, but expect to use next year)
4) Occasional campground discount
5) Roadside assistance (haven’t had to use - knock on wood)
 
Membership has been declining rapidly over the past few years and will be greatly accelerated by the recent increase of the annual membership fee from $50 to $99. We'll not be renewing our membership because......

My local tire dealer had better prices than the FMCA discount
There are less expensive cell phone and hot spot plans almost anywhere else
There's other, often less expensive repatriation/evacuation plans available
Several road side assistance plans are less expensive, with better coverage.
 
I am disapointed in the doubling of FMCA membership price increase. Is there any incentive in letting membership expire, and rejoining on sometype of membership drive they might be planning?
 
I see no advantage to FMCA
 
FMCA, or whatever they are going by this year, are quickly dissolving FMCA chapters. I'm not sure where the financial rationale plays into that decision.

AIM has taken several FMCA members and the International Rally was a financial disaster this year.

I chose to not renew when my membership expired in October.
