After much experimentation with sample packs and such, I gave up on pods. The coffee in pods always tastes sour and stale to me. I tried the "cage" with regular coffee grounds but the results were always "weak" to me. I just use my Keurig as water heater for Nescafe instant. Other than Taster's Choice I have yet to find anything I like better. Maybe I'm too picky. My daughter loves pods and will happily drink about any kind.

As I block the flavor of the coffee with flavored creamers, it probably doesn't matter. But I have preferred Dunkin Donuts over Starbucks k-cups lately. Does seem like a better quality k-cup but I don't have much expectation for any k-cup and expect them all to be stale.

We used the McCafe (McDonalds) for a while, but I think I like Dunkin a little better…

We were using the $ store brand dark roast pods (wife drank those). The pot we had also had single cup filters so I used ground Seattles Best dark roast for mine.

That pot is gone now and we have a new Ninja Luxe Pro so fresh beans for coffee, espresso, cappuccino, etc.

A number of years ago my wife turned me into a coffee snob well sort of. I drink coffee my wife does not. She decided after talking to one her patients about roasting coffee I might like to do it. For my birthday she got me a popcorn air popper and some green beans to roast coffee (google it ). Anyway I loved it so much so that I have since moved to a much higher end roaster and roast all my own coffee. For the K-Kups I use a refillable cup. I buy green coffee from all parts of the world and roast away.

The two that I use the most. Hot, fresh black coffee.
