Was out on the road for a couple of weeks, meeting up with the kids, grand kids, who pulled their trailer up to Northern California, as we pulled ours down from Whidbey Island, WA.

Only had a few days to get ready as we we had flown off to South Carolina to look at properties.
Really loved upstate in the greater Greenville area.
Flew into Charleston, then drove across the state and flew back from Nashville.

Things sure are cheaper back there!

Had a great time with the kids, sorta surprised how well San Francisco looked, as the last time we drove through there it was ugly with social issues.

They shoved off and mom and I headed up 101, taking a few days to return back home.

We stayed a couple of days at a place on the Oregon Coast at a RV resort right on the beach called Sea Perch.
A MUST stop if in the area, it's first class all the way.

OH.....how did I come to titled my post....mom and I ate TONS of it, never got any bad stuff, but some was WAY BETTER than the others!

On a side note, traffic was way down, fuel prices maybe?

Assorted pictures of many.

Did you tour Alcatraz? We did years ago and it was amazing. We just love the Pacific North West!

I am convinced that London, Washington, and Alaska are the only places to order fish and chips.

This was one order...... from a small trailer on the side of the road in Garibaldi, Oregon..... I couldn't finish it!

Looks like Oregon qualifies. I haven’t had any from Oregon, but it meets my first rule of being an ocean touching state/country.

We had some really good F &C in Bar Harbor ME and some grouper F &C in the Keys, awesome

Our best was The Big Fish Cafe in Reedsport , Oregon. It's not advertised well but we asked the clerk at the local Safeway where to go. It's where the locals go and we were welcome intruders. The Halibut and Chips were spectacular and you had better like the color blue 'çause it was everywhere. The building is a retired Coast Guard Cutter and of course it was located right beside the river.

I'll be staying near Cannon beach on the return trip from Whistler in May... love me some fish and chips !!!!!

If you are returning 101 through Nehalem, there is a great place called Riverside Fish and Chips. I've eaten there before and liked it a lot.
