This code popped up over the weekend right after I winterized the unit. It will go away when I trip the breaker for 24 hrs, but when I reenergize the dishwasher, it comes back at some point (I don’t know how long it takes to reappear).

Since I’m headed to the mothership in a few months, I asked Newmar to add it to the tasks to be performed. Their fix is to replace the dishwasher without any troubleshooting or attempt to repair whatever failed. This seems extreme to me.

Anyone have experience with this issue?

From Gemini:
Code F85 indicates a motor control fault, try a hard reset by turning off the DW at the powerpoint ( a breaker?) or unplugging it, waiting 60 seconds and restart clearing any soft electronic errors. Check the rotor under the bottom rack and make sure it spins freely.
However if the code keeps reappearing it's probably more serious. It's unlikely there's an appliance repair tech on staff at Newmar, which is what you'd need as the indicators then would be the motor controller or the motor itself.

We can all do google searches. Unless you have real experience, posting Gemini and other AI responses here is not in the least bit helpful.

Please refrain from such posts in the future.

When you start a cycle does it fill with water? The two issues I have had are with the motor and the control board. They both start off with this error.

One time it was the spinner at the bottom was clogged with debris and wouldn't engage. A deep clean by removing all the components helped. About a year later, I had to replace the control board.

The key difference I noticed is when water would fill. It did not fill when the control board was bad, but would fill when the motor was the issue.
