Florida residents will now have priority when reserving time in state parks following the signing of HB 109 by Gov. Ron DeSantis. The legislation was

The state is free to kill off tourism if it so chooses. They’re well within the right doing this, but I’d rather states be more welcoming to their neighbors.

Only thing I see is Fl residence can reserve 12 months out while everyone else is 11 months out. I don’t think there will be much of a change in things.

2X.... I stopped trying to get into FL State Parks. Now might be able to get into one with the 1 month advantage.

Nothing will change; every site will be reserved every weekend as soon as available anyway.

It's not like I believe tax dollars are actually being used for the parks. But I do appreciate when a state appears to be looking out for those that they tell you are paying the bill.
