If you are purchasing from a reputable retailer, insist on a complete explanation of all systems and controls.
If purchased from an individual ask about any modification to systems.
Verify that there is a complete collection of equipment user manuals.
your walk through, depending upon complexity, should take several hours By a knowledgeable person, typically NOT the Salesperson.
Our first RV we took delivery at the Factory. Spent better part of four days becoming familiar with systems and user manuals. We were able to stay in RV onsite to make sure we could operate all systems reliably.
 
got my travel trailer from GiantRV and they would not allow me to take it until I took their 2 hour walk through and instruction course on my specific trailer.

they walked me through all the features, did a hands on for the fill and flush systems.
