Spent last week at Spartan Chassis attending their Academy training. In my opinion the information conveyed is extremely valuable to any owner and operator of a vehicle with a Spartan Chassis.
Additionally my Wife, Gail , who was not looking forward to sitting in training all week, loved the course. The presenters worked hard to convey the information in an understandable way and kept it entertaining. Gail sat through everyday, engaged in the training.
Big Mike and Greg, were great.
Some of the most valuable lessons had to do with the unique procedures that HD chassis require.
For instance should you need to change chassis batteries for any reason, there are two fuses that need to be removed prior to the swap in addition to the main power switch(s).
I’ve been working on vehicles for better part of 70+years, never realized just how much of a shade tree mechanic I am when it comes to this!!
Additionally, many extra benefits. Free chassis inspection turned up many necessary repairs, in my case all covered under warranty.
For instance last year the steering box was replaced under recall. The steering gear was loose from that dealer install!!
A couple of lines were chafing, fixed under warranty.
These items were missed by all others working on this coach.
I’ll be visiting annually for maintenance on chassis.
Gail also received driver training and on road training as part of the course. Excellent professional driver instruction!!
All in all very good value for time and admission expense.
We were able to park and stay in coach on site as well.
