My wife and I are debating between getting the Escape plug-in hybrid vs the regular hybrid as our toad. We will be setting off as most time RVers for the first time so don’t have experience using a toad. The general school of thought is that it makes sense to get a plug-in if most of your driving is within the range of the battery (In this case about 30 miles). We’re not sure what our driving style will be hence the debate.

So, for those of you that have a plug-in hybrid as your toad do you find it worth the added cost and complexity?
