We are at Causeway Cove Marina and RV Park. A small RV park. 10 sites only. Concrete pad incredibly long. P W S and Cable. Here for a week then off to the Keys!

How in the world can they make a living with just 10 spots??

How in the world can they make a living with just 10 spots??
We are paying $95.00 per night. We are here for a week. Upon our arrival, only 9 of the 10 sites were being used. However, I think the Marina must be quite profitable. It appears pretty busy. They have 198 Wet Slips. I am not nautical so not sure what that means. To me, the cost of "parking your boat" is darned expensive. Here is a link showing the Dockage rates "per foot".

I shake my head at the cost of owning a boat of any size!
I think the RV Park is just an aside.

Not sure about Ft Pierce. I did grow up there long time ago. In North Texas, I paid $250 a month to store a 22' SeaRay. The lift was my cost. But having to deal with absolute idiots at the boat ramp, paying storage was not a problem. Well worth the stress release! I think an RV is pretty much equal when figuring in the constant upkeep on an RV vs boat. $$ on both of them!!

If you think about it, with the other enterprises they have going on, 10 spots might not make them rich but I can bet the ROI is fairly short. Very little upkeep once installed and a constant income especially at $95/night! They better have curb service for that price!! Like the old saying about a boat, "BOAT-- Break Out Another Thousand"!!!
