I have a 2003 R-Vision Trail Bay bumper pull. I got it for our off-grid dwelling while we build a house. We noticed that our solar system just wasn't keeping up so we switched the fridge/freezer from electric to propane and immediately saw better solar performance.

However, we now noticed that the freezer is working but the fridge is not running on propane. All the guides I've seen talk about what to do if neither the fridge nor freezer work or what to do if the fridge doesn't work on either propane or electric. I haven't seen anything for what to do if the freezer works on both propane and electric but the fridge only works on electric.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but you probably only have one cooling unit. RV absorption refigaratersuse the propane or A/C to heat the system.
Look and see if you have a separate thermostat for the freezer and for the refrigerator. and gas/electric.
You said "However, we now noticed that the freezer is working but the fridge is not running on propane." How long of a period was that? The cooling starts in the freezer and then works down to the refrigerator.
