Does anyone else carry a food-grade lubricant for use in water systems (O-rings, seals, valve stems, etc.) and other potential food-contact applications? We have long used PetroGel food-safe lubricant to lubricate anything that might come into contact with fresh water or food.

PetroGel NSF Food Safe Lubricant (4 ounce tube) (D104): Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

Whenever I change a water system filter, I use it on the O-ring. I've also used it on the ice maker bail, reefer drawer slides, etc. It is a good lubricant, so can also be used in others non-food/water-related areas as well.

Maybe I'm just "OC," but I like to be sure that my water and food remains uncontaminated.

Yes sir, I carry this one in my toolbox:

If you ever have a problem with your dump valves this is the kind of stuff you can lubricate them with.
