I am full time and I stay in “Commercial” Parks mostly Thousand Trails. I use “city water” and the two stage filter. Great pressure but I have used the same “blue” filter for about 4 months. How often should I change the blue cylinder? I know I can “flush” the larger green filter.

Depending on the source, any single “Camco” type filter can be inadequate for all the but 10 micron quick hit. And, if the source is bad enough, with sediment, those things can CLOG within a week!

If interested, the BEST method of filtration is with a multistage system. I made a really nice system for our coach, then a friend who had constant deposit issues. Then another friend…and now Newell is sending folks to me to build systems for others.

I use top quality parts with quick connects for a 30 second setup. My filters are 5/1/0.5 micron and then run that into a softener tank.

We don’t drink that water but sure could. But it makes for a very clean plumbing system with no deposits and nice soft water to use for showers and washing.

These cartridges aren’t needing to be changed for maybe 6 months at the minimum and could go longer.

Just depends how much you wanna filter your water.

That flows into a softener, then the coach and whole house filter.

Three stage is good for about 2,000 gallons so I have a flow meter to check usage and change those and whole house at the same time.

Been using the setup for 2 1/2 years full timing - drink the water etc with no issues.

Our average is around 15 gallons a day between us, washer, dishwasher, etc so filters are good for 100 + days.

This is the system I've designed and built for our community. Extremely happy with it, and haven't had the need for any improvements throughout the 4 years I've used mine, in addition to the dozen+ others who've put their's through the paces. Seems most of us get at least 6 months from the cartridges.

I love the clear housings, solid brass, and quick-connects that make this system so easy to set up as well as be modular to add in a DI tank, or backflush, or sanitizer in seconds.

And the system fits into a nice tote box that serves as storage as well as protection when set up.
