Fridge blues

Hi, I’m a newbie and I’m boondocking FT. My biggest issue is keeping the fridge cold because you can’t run the generator 24/7 unless you quarantine yourself forever, lol. Are there any other FT boondockers that have suggestions? Ty!

Or, you could replace your fridge with one that also operates on propane. The choices are pretty limited when you are off-grid; solar, generator or propane unless you want to go old-school with a genuine ice box, but that involves running to town every few days for ice.

Apparently, you have a residential-type refrigerator, yes? Since I'm not familiar with your brand of RV I need to ask a few questions. Do you have an inverter charger, how many batteries and amp hours are they? You shouldn't need to run the genset 24/7, only several hours a day to keep the batteries charged. Of course, that depends on how many and the amp hours of your batteries.
