I have to give credit to a user on another forum who suggested it (username weird). Being by myself today it took me at least 10 tries to do the end run around the bay door from the pull handle to successfully grabbing the front cover before it had a chance to relatch. I almost broke out the vise grips to hold the pull handle cable out.

His cheap and easy 2 minute mod (using a standard automotive hood spring) worked perfect on my 2023 New Aire!!! Amazon.com

I was reading that thread over there and wondered why everyone thought it was weird.

After reading your post I went back and now I see that’s his name.

Confusion resolved.

I am going to be adding this to my canyon star as we have the same problem
