What are the credit card fees when using a credit card instead of a bank account? It shows a 2.29% service fee is waived if you use your bank account plus it say additional fees may apply for a credit card.

We ended up switching to using a debit card. We avoid the cc surcharge but don’t get points on the cc.

So far I am not impressed with Greenlane. I have not been purchasing but monitoring pricing on their app. In central FL, the app has never gone below 5.22/gallon, yet OR changes daily and has ranged fro 4.75 to 5.28 during the same time period. They may be better in other areas and when I get my coach I will watch
As a side not it was mentioned that you can use your cc with Greenlane, you can do that with OR also

Since I wrote that first review we have continued to learn. One of those learnings has been the regional differences in which card is best. Southeast is a toss up between Open Roads and Greenlane, with OR winning more often. But Greenlane tends to win in more areas that we travel the past 2-3 years.

But be prepared, their marketing emails, texts, and phone calls will get old fast. I finally had had enough when they called me at 5 AM one morning.

I haven't found them useful traveling in the NM, AZ, Co, ID, MT, and UT areas over the past few months.
One issue is that they do not tell you which locations require a member card versus just using app. That's a biggie. We tried for first time and couldn't use be of this issue

What do you mean by “requiring a member card”?

Greenlane process is that we authorize on the Greenlane app, then swipe the Greenlane card on the pump.

If you are referring to a loyalty card for the station, I have not run into this as a requirement anywhere, but then maybe we haven’t had a problem as we do usually use loyalty cards at the major chains to get the points. But usually there is an option to skip loyalty cards.

You can tell whether you need to use the fuel card at the pump by looking at the fuel code status on the display. If the fuel code status is yes you don't need to use the card at the pump. If the fuel code status is no, you have to use the card at the pump. See screenshot.
