Yea, I can only think the clearing the memory had a lot to do with it. It came at a good time. Around my daughter’s house in Clermont Fl gas is $3.20 per gallon
I filled up yesterday for 2.31 / gal for 87 octane down here in the swamp..smilin the whole time😁

Another CALIFORNIAN here...we recently took a few weeks to hit Northern Arizona and enjoyed the $3 (something) gas prices. That $1.50+ makes a difference when pumping 75 gallons 😒 Oh well, I just recall my boating days where I was pleased to get one mile per gallon. (it was usually less than that!) Blessings

Lol..I had twin 140hp motors on my big boat..got 1.5 mpg at 47mph....switched to a single 225 hp and went up tp 3.5 mpg at 51mph...I was thrilled ..takes 105 gals to fill up.Needless to say 8 mpg on my RV was a welcome surprise

This post did me a favor! Thanks!

My throttle has been somewhat irregular, and was looking into replacement, when a few forum posts talked about relearning procedures.

Seems that replacement of the battery, also requires the relearning procedure. I set out to do the procedure and it cured the problem, without replacement parts.

There's more! My gas mileage improved drastically. Up from 17mpg to 22mpg. Before I get questions. No I don't do a manual calculation. It is foolish to think I wouldn't get any different values one way or the other.

Frequency measurement is likely more accurate than any pump meters so I am good with the outcome.

Change in elevation is compensated by same path in both directions with both mpg measurements at different trips.

Summarized! Yes tps calibration made a tremendous improvement. Is the mileage accurate? Who cares? The difference is worth the effort!

I feel like I went back in time or something..Toda that gas station lowered their price to 2.19/gal...!!!! Filled up all my cars .Sure beats the 4 bucks/gal we were paying couple years ago.

I hope it stays that way for a while. I'll be in your neck of the woods in January. If I remember correctly. the cheapest gas I ever bought was in Galliano La in 2020 $2.01.9! I could go for that again.

Theres some great fishing down there just a little farther south. Redfish and Speckled trout are plentiful and mighty tastey.😁

It dropped into the mid 2's for about 3 or 4 days and rocketed to 4.29 all in one jump here.

I burn diesel, it is what it is, never even pay attention to it, 500k rig, fuel is least of my worries
Yes, somewhere between 5 and 6 thousand miles planned this year. Will complain about the prices of diesel but not going to stop traveling just because it will cost more.

As long as it doesn’t break you, do it while you can because tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Hmmm...my 8.1L Vortec coughs on 87 Octane and desires 91 Octane...which is $5.86 currently at our local Costco...I always have to run two cards to fill up. Just part of the journey😉 Blessings
