So you verified it is bad?

Answer is you will probably need to drop the tank.

Not the first time this question has come up. I wonder if people realize running on less than 1/4 tank can cause an early failure?

yes , ruled everything else out . It has been sitting about six years . Mechanic buddy tried the relay and switch and verified they’re good . It looks to be a nightmare to drop the tank and cutting holes in the floor until I find the right spot doesn’t sit well with me . If I knew the right spot i would do that but finding online info on a 98 chassis has been frustrating .
