Are you talking about calibrating the thermostat? I would hope the manufacturer and dealer did that, I’ve only had it 1 month. If not, how would you calibrate it?
 
Because accuracy is a non-issue for most it is highly unlikely they have been calibrated.

To calibrate requires a "standard ". Unless close tolerance requirements are specified it is a cost not often in the budget. Even the standard requires recertification on a schedule, you will also require a thermostat that can be calibrated.
 
Some of our digital thermostats have the ability to apply an adjustment +/- a specified number of degrees. But that assumes it is consistent in readings. If one hour it is 3 degrees wrong and a couple hours later it is 9 degrees wrong - in my book I would replace it.

Did a quick search and saw this series of posts on a grand design group where the sensor for the thermostat was not installed correctly.
