Garmin has/had a routing program you could run on your DeskTop the, export to your device.

What was it called and is it still available?
 
Its called base camp. Garmin. I used to use it, but transferring to your GPS had gotten problematic. I switched to RV Trip Wizard for my overall trip planning, then just build my daily trip on my GPS
