My Cummins Onan generator has been running great, but does not supply pwer
To the coach. I can’t start it with the priming and start mechanism. It will start when I jump start it, but supplies no power to the coach when running. Could this be a ground problem?

There is a breaker on the GEN, is it ON?

Check all breakers inside, they can be tripped but may not appear to be tripped. You may have a breaker on the generator separate from the on switch. I don’t think there will be a fuse as the circuit is protected with a breaker.

It is switched on. We were wondering if there are fuses or another breaker switch in the coach.

There are fuses throughout such as on the inverter if you have one.

There may be an automatic change over which has failed. I installed a replacement changeover in his motor home. The generator would start and run but the coach had no power. Once the changeover switch was replaced, the coach had power from the generator.

Here is a straight forward way to check transfer switch power. Use an voltmeter and check where there is power with the generator running

In order to test the power, there should be 110-120 volts between Hot (Red or Black) and Neutral (White)
