Hi Guys: I have a Onan 8000 generator. I had an oil change done at 100 hours. I now have 221 hours on it. Sometimes when I boondock I use it for 30 hours at a clip, depending on the weather. So should I get an oil change, air filter and fuel filter after putting 121 hrs on it after the last change?

I get mine done at Freightliner Gaffney, SC. Makes it easy. The onan manual outlines the service intervals. I do it more frequently than that just because FCCC makes it easy for me to just lift the plastic :)

The general consensus is ~150 hrs.

We change the oil in the generator every year, check air filter and depending on hours run and condition of fuel over the past year will also change the fuel filter.
Takes about an hour for all 3 and I view it as therapy time - usually excited to do it as it means we are hitting the road again! 😁

Thanks for the replies. I have to take the coach to Freight liner for a state inspection, and will have them do it again. They did it last time for me as well. It's nice to have a FL near buy, I trust them with all my chassis work.
