Question Gerrard awning noise

My awnings are starting to sound like a horror movie soundtrack when deploying or retracting. I'm thinking it's coming from the sliding middle rail. Anyone have a solution?

Mine sounds like a basement door out of a Frankenstein movie. I just ignore it

Are you talking about when you are stopped? Or, at 60 mph on the highway? Our awnings extend quietly in either mode.

Does Girard recommend any maintenance such as lubrication/grease?

Ok, after finally pulling the ladder out to look see, I cleaned the middle rail inner channel with 303. Got rid of 90% of the nose. Actually, I only did a test area, the wife finished it up.
