Kudos @GreenlaneOfficial - I look forward to using it next time I'm out.
Hi Neal,
If you start using GL, give us an update. I signed up but not seeing the discounts being better for fuel I bought yesterday on OpenRoads. Will keep an eye on it until fuel costs return to something a bit more reasonable.

We are just finishing up a three-week trip in northwest NM. We have used Greenlane exclusively because they have consistently beaten Open Roads. Savings using GL vs OR have been $112.56.

For those of us new to @GreenlaneOfficial fuel card, such as ME, I welcome any tips for setting up the app such as Wallet, how to use, etc. for anyone that cares to outline for us newbies to this. I installed it, verified my info, now it's ready to use, what do I do next, what do I need to know?

From memory, this is the process:
- pull up to the pump
- before getting out, open the app, it should see you are at the truck stop (it needs precise location information enabled) and use the purchase button to authorize how much fuel and DEF you want. This sends a pre authorization for that amount to be sure your credit card or funded wallet will cover it. If you use less than that amount, you are only charged for the actual amount used.
- get out of vehicle and swipe Greenlane card at the pump (follow prompts for swiping loyalty card, selecting fuel/DEF, etc) As I learned, IF you select something that doesn’t match what you selected on the app, the transaction will not allow you to continue.
- Dispense fuel
- end transaction
- check app and see the finalized amount

Go to the wallet in the app (I started this this morning, and my wife called for breakfast), and it will walk you through the steps on how to add cash, or you can select a credit/debit card. You will pay 2.9%, I think, when using credit. Set either the credit card or cah as the default payment.I use the same account as I use for Open Roads. It will take, I believe, 3-5 days for the money to show in your account, but from then on it will fund almost immediately.
