Won't win any awards for woodworking but it should do the job. Kept me busy for an afternoon so I'm not complaining. Materials, 4x2x1/2 sheet of plywood sheathing and a 4-foot piano hinge. Less than $20.

The hand holes are too big. Couldn't find my smaller hole saw. If I had it to do again, just some 1-inch finger holes would suffice.

I once made a similar one but used 3 metal cookie sheets (thrift store), 4 loose pin hinges (removed the pins) and steel wire (used to hold batt insulation in place) with the top inch bent at a 90 degree angle to replace the loose pins. I just pop riveted the hinges onto the cookie sheets. It was very lightweight. A plus since we tent camped at the time.
