My Ventana's non-slip material began peeling off. I looked around for step carpets...but all I could find were 23" wide. Then I found Grubby Feet. I still have to wash off the beach...but I'll post an update when I get them installed.

just sharing, in case anyone has found it hard to find 28" wide step carpets...

I purchased these based on your post. While expensive I could not be happier with them. I like the 28" width plus their construction. Very rugged. So I guess you get what you pay for as they say.

That's great! We have been giving ours a workout with Texas snow storms. I know I would have probably lost my footing with our steel steps with failing non-slip tape. The Grubby Feet have stood up to the weather and given us sure footing climbing in and out...snow boots and all.

Sure wish those would work on the steps we have on the MADP, but they won't. They look like a good, non-slip step cover.

I am pleased...Now I need a “Dirt Destroyer”. A device designed to clamp onto the steps when parked to wipe boots off before entering. Some friends have one...and it sure can help prevent tracking in wet snow and ice that have accumulated on our boots. Of course, it isn’t my intention to be camping in Snow and Zero degree F weather. This is a very strange circumstance for us. May come in handy after rains to wipe of mud too. I’ll have to give it a try. Hmmm...maybe weather tech can make a custom cockpit tray for our boots...like we have in our Jeep.

I like the idea. Would have been great on our 5th wheel. Problem with motorhomes...you will eventually have a car pull alongside to tell you your step is out. I've had this happen three times and had to pull over and replace the motor (always carry a spare).

I am not so sure those treads would stay on if we inadvertently drove down the highway with the steps extended.

Not sure if the doggies that a lot of folks travel with would tend to slip more on the plastic vs a loop carpet surface.

They would be awesome if you had a totally and either no pets...or surefooted pets.

They aren’t intended for motor homes. Not yet anyway. Motor homes use Kwikee retractable steps that slide inward. We currently only make convers for Morryde StepAbove and Lippert. They definitely wouldn’t come off, as they wrap around the steps and stay snug. We are targeting a Kwikee version in the fall once we have money again. Those carpet rugs will catch road grime and retain it, as they are ‘permanently’ fixed onto the steps with springs or adhesives. Ours just pop off and can be cleaned.
