Anyone familiar with guardian plates and are you happy with the results.
I have the beginning of an issue on my bedroom slide bottom.
The plates seem a little bit pricey.

I decided to make my own plates. They turned out very good. I used 18 ga stainless steel.
They are not polished like the store bought but will serve the same purpose.

I'm a little late to this topic, in 2025 I took my 2004 HR Ambassador down to have the company install the plates during a trip to Florida. I'm not sure of the installation price because I had them check and repair my belt line and the rivets that hold the roof in place on both sides of the rv. They found several rivets broken and replaced then. It wasn't cheap but I believe I received a good job for my money. The Guardian plates help taking the weight off of the plywood when opening and closing the slides. It also helped seal the sides of the slides from water coming in. Money well spent.
