GVWR and GCWR

Can you share the difference between GVWR and GCWR? The 2021 Tiffin PA 34 has a GVWR of 26,000 and a GCWR of 30,000. Based on these numbers, will this model safely pull a JEEP Wrangler? The specs say that the hitch weight will handle 5000 lbs. As you can tell, we are new at the motorhome side of camping.

Randy gave you good information in the chart above. You may be saying to yourself why would they put a 5k lb hitch on there if there is only 4k lbs left after deducting the GVWR from the GCWR?? No you can't tow 5000 lbs any way because the issue may be that the brakes will only handle 4000 lbs. That may be why your GCWR is 30,000 lbs and not 31,000 lbs. Be safe and stay under 4000 lbs. Here's what I found on the curb weight of a Jeep Wrangler......

So it looks like you could tow a 2 dr Sport Wrangler. It weighs 3948 lbs. The Rubicon weighs 222 lbs too much and of course the 4 door Jeep Wranglers are out of the question. Personally to me it doesn't look like the Tiffin gives you enough towing capacity. The coach may weigh too much and that's why it cuts into the towing capacity. Looks like you're stuck towing a small car. A very small car.
