So, ham radio ops on RVF, what kind of antennas are you using on your coach? I haven't gotten around to installing anything yet on the MADP, but would like to do so. My primary interest is HF, but any antenna ideas and photos would be welcome. What are you using for antennas?

Typically I carry a 2M/220/440MHz/70cm Kenwood D74a handheld. We use a mobile 36" TriBand VHF/UHF Comet antenna with a magnetic base. Usually stick it on the TOAD as the roof makes a nice ground plane. I have seen some very nice collapsible antenna at outdoor events that can be quickly tuned to various HF bands. On my RV the roof ladder also is very useful as an antenna mount.

Thanks, Joe. Our coach does not have a mounted ladder, so I don't have that option.

Looks like an interesting event. We are not normally out in the motorhome in January, but anything is possible. Thanks for the heads up.

Timely thread as I'm also looking for an HF antenna. I'm installing a IC-760 with CB capability so I'm needing an antenna that I can mount and use while I'm traveling. I'd like that antenna to be the same antenna I use for HF when I'm at the camp site.

I figured I'd use a vertical of some sort, mounted to the ladder, but so far I've not really put a lot of effort into finding the "correct" one. Suggestions would be appreciated!
