To those that served, to the families of those that served, to anyone that supported veteran's you knew - thank you! When a veteran serves, combat or not, the support system is vital and I know what my family went through during my Desert Shield/Storm deployment (my first assignment as a brand new A-10 pilot) and later military duty in the Bosnia crisis, etc.

Today is a day of the year I make a "me" day, I enjoy a nice lunch out somewhere, giving myself a break and downtime to reflect on my service.

Service before self is something not everyone can relate to and I thank all of the Veterans that voluntarily or not served your country and you're here today to allow this day to thank you for your service.

It is amazing how many veterans choose the RV lifestyle as we know there is so much to see with the military having moved us around so much. I was moved about every 18 months and really enjoyed the new beginnings and new experiences. It's great to cross paths with the many veterans on the road and hope to meet more as my journey continues.

Yes, what Neal said. Thanks to all who have served.

Thanks Neal and thank you for your service as well.

You are correct in the support system - the military life would be even more difficult without it.

Being in submarines and gone 10 out of 12 months, the 105 hour work weeks for a year and a half during an overhaul, etc takes its toll on relationships and those that do it.

Wouldn’t trade that time for the world though.

Thanks to all who served either personally or as support for those that did.

with 3 sons who served and 2 grandsons currently serving, Neal is correct on the importance of a support system, writing lots of letters, mailing lots of treats, cookies, etc, keeps us busy, especially during the holidays!
