Question Hard water stains on shower "glass" (plastic)

Looking for tips on how to get hard water streaks off the shower glass/plastic?

Don’t you use a water softener? Are you recharging it often with salt as you shouldn’t be getting those if you are. Most car detailing companies have hard water spot remover. One I use is 3D. I squeezee and wipe down after every use.

Thanks - no, typically not in a hard water area, that I know of. I typically only take it when going west.

I seem to recall having had a ventana like yours that the shower was a hard plastic maybe. You might try this first.

White vinegar
Baking soda (optional)
Spray bottle
Microfiber cloth or non-abrasive sponge
Warm water
Squeegee or dry towel
Steps:
1. Prepare the Vinegar Solution:
Mix equal parts white vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle.
2. Apply the Solution:
Spray the vinegar solution generously over the hard water streaks. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to break down the mineral deposits.
3. Scrub Gently:
Use a microfiber cloth or a non-abrasive sponge to scrub the streaks in circular motions. For tougher stains, sprinkle baking soda on the streaks before scrubbing, as it adds a mild abrasive effect.
4. Rinse with Warm Water:
Rinse the area thoroughly with warm water to remove any residue.
5. Dry the Surface:
Use a squeegee or dry towel to prevent new streaks from forming.
For Stubborn Streaks:
Create a paste with baking soda and water. Apply it directly to the streaks, let it sit for 10 minutes, then scrub and rinse.

Any mildly acidic cleaner, citric acid, vinegar, dilute phosphoric etc will remove hard water scale from glass and/or plastic with little or no scrubbing and no harm to the surface.

Thanks all, I also did a google and used what I have on hand 50/50 vinegar and water. Seems to be working, or a start at least. I'll try the above options next to get this thing fixed up.

I squeegee at home, hard on a curved shower surface in the RV.

We have curved shower glass in our coach, either use a squeegee from side to side or just skip the squeegee - our shower head can be handheld, and I do a slow rinse from top to bottom (use the same method when drying the car after a wash) which when the glass is kept clean will remove a majority of the water droplets, then I use a towel to dry it. Hang the towel over the shower glass and it is dry enough that it dries within a couple hours.

Me Clean sponge works well for the leftover soap etc even after using squeegee.

We use dawn power wash on ours routinely and the Mr clean sponge when we see buildup in the doors etc.
