Harvest Host stop at an aviation museum on the former Webb Air Force Base. Oh the history...and sadly I flew several of the aircraft in this museum, nope, not feeling ancient at the moment! I left Las Cruces a day early as I saw the Saturday hours for the museum are 10-2 and I wanted to not just enjoy a free stop but tour the museum (and make a donation which is always good to do for Harvest Host stops). Also almost forgot about the time zone change which would put me here an hour later than planned so it was good I knocked out 90% of the drive here yesterday.

(y) Been there a few years ago, also HH. Very cool.

Looks like a great stop on the way to Austin. I see T-38s flying just about every day out of Beal, a little over 14 miles north-west of home. Also the occasional U2, and other interesting stuff.

X2. Great stop without close trees and buses can fit. The Permian basin petroleum museum down the road a ways is also a HH stop that is good. Take second driveway to avoid trees on main driveway.

Nice. Now that Austin is on a the annual Rollin Reunion route these interesting spots will come in handy.
