During this southwestern trip which kicked off at Angel Fire then to Santa Fe then to Albuquerque and now touring Arizona I have a new craving for Hatch Green Chili's. So tasty, not too hot but I love putting them in scrambled eggs, ground beef for burgers. I'm on a mission to find them whether in farmer's markets or stores and I even see you can get them on Amazon!

Oh, I also have put at the top of my list in southwestern restaurants Chili Relleno! Love the flavor!!!

I'll be there mid December. I haven't forgotten and plan on going the night I get there. Will report back! :)

Having once lived in Scottsdale (early 70s), we still miss the REAL Mexican food found in that area. El Encanto Dos on the outskirts of Phoenix was one of our favorites.

The Hatch Green chile is also among our favorites. We also keep a stock of the more mature, dried red version (aka "New Mexico Red"), on hand for cooking. Just thinking about those chiles is making me hungry.
