Good day, all

Hugh and Rika joining from our Outback travel trailer parked at 5950 foot elevation just off Hwy 50, outside the Lake Tahoe basin.

We had our cabin burn down last year in the Caldor fire and used a bit of the insurance "loss of use" payment to buy our 35' Keystone travel trailer. We are using it to live in while we monitor the construction of our new cabin and for skiing when the ski season starts.

I know we are "pushing the envelope" for winter use due to the snow load we often get. Current plan is to use a Navigloo shelter which we are just getting set up. I'll ask about that and other winter use tips in the correct forum.

Let's all stay warm and dry this winter!

Hugh

As you know at that elevation, you’ll be very glad to have a snow roof before winter hits. Good luck with this and post some pics when you get a chance. Your Navigloo sounds interesting. I lived at 4200’ for 20 years near Alta. Now I’m at 1150’ at the end of Garden Bar in Nevada Co, and enjoying milder winters.
