Hello,
My wife and I are in the process of purchasing a new 5th wheel to travel in the winter months. We have owned many RVs in the past. The 5th wheel we are looking to purchase is 41.5' long. Are we going to encounter length restriction at a lot of campgrounds and parks. we prefer to not be parked on a blacktop lot.
Thanks, Rich

Welcome from another Wisconsinite! Having owned many RV's in the past you know you'll have to add the length of your tow vehicle to your total length. At 41.5' plus tow vehicle you will be limited to what sites are available. To get an idea go on a states DNR site you want to visit and pick a park and see what's available. You'll might have to pretend you're making a reservation to view the length of a particular site. On Wisconsins DNR site you can add your length in the site search filter. Handy in showing only the sites that will accommodate your length. You could also call private campgrounds and see if you'll fit. When we were motorhome shopping I set a max length of 37'. That plus the length of our Jeep that we tow does limit us at times.
